What is The Gen X Factor?
The Gen X Factor is a new network where Gen X women find each other for hiring, freelance and fractional work, co-founding, career changes and peer support. It was started in 2026 in Michigan. We're starting small and building it with our founding members, one introduction at a time.
Why focus on Gen X women?
Because this is the group carrying the most at once: aging parents, kids at home or in college, late-career layoffs, a job market reshaped by AI and menopause, often all in the same year. Gen X women have decades of experience and are often overlooked for it. They are also the people most likely to understand each other.
Who is it for?
It's for women born roughly between 1965 and 1980 who are building a business, looking for work, changing careers or looking for peers who share their references and their reality. Many have left corporate jobs or been laid off and want to put decades of experience to work.
Does it cost anything?
No. It's free for founding members while we learn what's most useful. You fill out one short form, we look for good matches and we reach out by email.
Is this another app?
No. There's nothing to download and no feed to scroll. You fill out one short form that takes about three minutes and we'll be in touch by email when we see a match or a small group that makes sense for you.
Will there be group calls?
We're planning small video calls for women on the same path: hiring and freelance work, building something or changing careers. Founding members will hear about them first.
What happens to my information?
It's used only to make introductions. We share your details with a match only after you say yes and we never sell them.
